From Niel Venter, animator and effects designer on Dark Corners of the Earth:
A cutscene was deliberately excluded from the game for fear of it being too graphic. It was of a deepone mating with a human female. Another scene was altered where a deepone jumped on a sailor and ate his groin.
Several surnames from the game correspond to actual developers by sheer coincidence, like Marsh and Walters, but there are references to actual people in a lot of the incidental posters and advertising like Tempest-oil, for Troy Tempest (Lead Creative Artist). Two funny design faux pas are a rowboat frozen just a few meters away from the edge of a waterfall, imagine how practical that would be come spring. And then there's the secret system of tunnels of which the church bell is the key to opening the door, every time the bell rang in Innsmouth all the vilagers would be saying stuff like 'oh the priest is in his secret place again, couldn't he have chosen a quieter way to hide his activities'.
I've tested the game (all levels) under Windows Vista and have yet to encounter any problems or crashes. Seems to work perfectly.
A patch was released via Xbox Live that allowed the Xbox version to run on the Xbox360. There is however a reported error with the games intro cutscenes not displaying correctly. The rest of the game however is ok.
