The game supports both VGA and SVGA - the latter being more detailed, higher res and more colours (comparison below). There are two separate exe files for each mode, and the save game files are not compatible between modes.
Compatibility
Although the game runs through the above, it will always shut down at various points. The game auto-saves at various points throughout and at these points an error will occur and the game will close.
