The lead character, Parker, was orginally called Carter. Perhaps to tie in to Randolf Carter from Lovecrafts stories. The name 'Carter' can be seen on the back of the US release box, and in the Demo.

Compatibility
The game, demo, and Museum all run on XP and Vista with no problems.

It requires the use of Dos Box.

I also recommend installing D-Fend Reloaded after installing Dos Box. D-Fend is a frontend GUI for Dos Box that makes configuring and playing Dos games almost effortless.

Copy Protection
The original Floppy Disk version (1993) came with a bizarre copy protection method, the 'Arkham Planetarium Invitation'.

The card folded out into a box which contained a magnifying glass on one side, and inside was a star chart written as a grid.

When the game was started various constellations were shown. Then, using the star chart you had to look through the magnifying glass and find the corresponding constellation, noting its coordinates on the grid.
